Commemorative Gun Collection

We have the Largest On-Display Commemorative Gun Collection in the Country representing guns from the Civil War era, Old West and Cattle Towns right up to Dirty Harry’s 44 Magnum. There are over 230 pistols and over 50 rifles on display.

 Includes:

4 one of a kind guns representing the “Grand Slam” of sheep hunting. Each gun is engraved by a separate master gun engraver with ivory grips and 24K gold detail in the highest level engraving. The four sheep represented are the Dall, Stone, Desert and Big Horn. Sid turned down a $40,000 offer from Hank Williams Jr. for these guns.

We have several guns owned by Elvis Presley; two that were brought back from Germany by Priscilla’s father when Elvis served in the military and one single action Colt and holster used by the King to shoot at light bulbs floating in his swimming pool.

We have several pieces of jewelry owned by Elvis or purchased by Elvis for his friends and family. Including a gold coin ring surrounded by diamonds that Elvis wore on stage and a 1.8 carat canary yellow diamond ring owned by the King. The collection includes items purchased by Elvis for his father Vernon.

Also on display are spurs owned by John Wayne and used by him to repay a debt for gas money to a friend back when he was a struggling actor.

Old time maps and photographs from the Smithsonian and the Nevada Archives of Civil War Generals, Gun Slingers and Western Legends appear throughout the collection.

One gun cases dedicated to World Wars I and II include photos of the attack on Pearl Harbor and an American flag that flew over Mannheim prison during the liberation.
